The Premium Roasted Genmaicha blends larger flat folded sencha leaves that are separated out of the leaf rolling phase and selected out of the sencha production process.
Characteristically much lighter in taste than refined sencha, these larger 'willow-like' sencha leaves yield a subtly sweet umami character balanced with a mild astringency.
The flavour profile harmonizes wonderfully with the roasted grain aroma rendering a slightly brisk character accentuated by hot water brewing.
Only the finest ingredients are combined in our Genmai series creating a uniquely refreshing and stimulating aroma and flavour for a restful and meditative 'chill' sipping experience.
