The Chasen Matcha Whisk 茶筌 is a finely hand-crafted tea utensil made from cured bamboo used to whip the fine matcha tea into a frothy finish. This method of preparation and service is called ‘usucha’ - thin tea.
The frothy finish creates a very pleasant and smooth almost creamy like sensation. To drink such fine matcha you 'draw in' air as the smooth matcha meets the lips.
A delight it is. And do not use a spoon or blender for Sōshin Teas.
