High elevation Jin Hsuan Oolong, known in the tea industry as 'Formosa Tea No. 12' is a modern varietal that exudes a smooth, creamy-like delicate flavour.
Our Sōshin Select Jin Hsuan 'Special' Oolong tea is naturally fragrant and true to its 'No. 12' varietal character.
Expect full body and tastes that are floral with a slight peachy sweetness; the mouthfeel is very substantial and creamy.
One sip will convince the most discerning tea enthusiast of its authentic character.
Recommended steeping:
- Use 4 - 6 grams of Jin Hsuan tea
- Water temperature: 85C - 90C
- First & second steeping: 45 - 60 seconds
- Add 30 seconds for each consecutive steeping
- Infuse 4 - 6 times
